Hinge is hiring an exceptional data scientist in New York City.
Hinge is a dating app that uses data science to predict who you'll fall for. We're looking for a big-picture person to make a difference on a small team; someone who doesn't mind getting his or her hands dirty with Python, MongoDB, SQL, graph databases, AWS, shell, and the plumbing to connect them all into a live production system. Predicting love is a challenge, but connecting real people on an app your friends are using is very rewarding.
The main components of the job are:
* Improving the quality and performance of our production match recommender system (Python, machine learning, graph databases, Big Data!)
* "Data warehousing" all the things (ETL, SQL)
* Dashboarding and ad-hoc analyses (SQL, Python, web)
* General data-driven product development and growth
